Just chillin' like strawberry fillin'

We haven't been doing too much the past few days. Just taking it easy and getting some things done around the house.

Yesterday, his new thing was to wander the house looking at things with the flashlight. I had to use it to peer under the family room shelves in order to find a missing LaBo, and Jack just thought it was the neatest thing. He must have spent an hour with it.

After dinner, we took an outing to Borders Bookstore. Jack had the best time pushing the stools around, climbing the step platform in the children's section, and going up and down the cd aisles. Just as we were about to leave, he spotted the UPC code on one of the cds. He calls these "money." He kept seeing them everywhere, so he's saying, "more money, more money, more money!" He sure did crack up one guy who said we were sure teaching him right!

This morning was my eye doctor's appointment, so Jack and Jim dropped me off and went and got some donuts. Then they drove around a little and ended up at the park where they saw some ducks and even some bald eagles! Then we all went together to the Books for Babies class at the library. I thought it was really neat that we could all go together, but Jack decided to head to a corner and mess his pants during the very first song. So we all ended up missing the rest of the class while we rushed him to the potty to get him cleaned up. Oh well.

He's learned that he's a "boy," so now he refers to all kids as "more boy" regardless of the child's actual gender. His other new other words over the past few days include ride, oops, fork, flag, eagle, and sweet. He's "mama's sweet boy" indeed!
